(March X, 2010) — Late last week, ARS/Rescue Rooter of Denver, an area provider of air conditioning, heating, plumbing, drain cleaning and sewer line services, received a phone call from an elderly couple on Olathe St. in Aurora, who were experiencing a sewage back-up in their home. The couple called ARS/Rescue Rooter hoping for an affordable price — but could not have been happier when the company offered to provide the needed repair at no cost.

The couple has had it rough, as the wife just underwent a costly knee replacement surgery, and the husband was in need of the same surgery in addition to dealing with other medical issues. Despite ARS/Rescue Rooter’s attempts to lower the investment as much as possible and provide financing options for the sewer repair — the couple still was unsure of how they were going to be able to afford this necessary plumbing work.

After meeting the couple, and seeing their circumstances, ARS/Rescue Rooter determined they had to find a way to help. The company decided this was a circumstance in which they wanted to provide their services, which typically costs more than $3,000, at no cost to the couple.

This couple’s particular situation occurred because of the age of their home. Homes built in the 1970s have concrete and clay sewer lines that inevitably separate over time. ARS/Rescue Rooter was able to discover the problem after inserting a color video camera into the sewer line, during the free video inspection it performs on all sewer cleanings.
